‘India Has Started Malicious Campaign against Hurriyat Leaders’

Srinagar, September 08 (Kashmir Voice): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik, has said that frustrated by the people’s uprising in 2016, Indian rulers with the active help of their Kashmiri stooges have started a vicious campaign against resistance leadership.
According to media sources, Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “Using NIA as a tool, the Indian leaders first started a media trial and propaganda against Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, myself and many others and accused us of orchestrating agitation.” After the media campaign, he said, the NIA was launched into action which has been terrorizing Kashmiri businessmen, traders, lawyers, students, journalists along with resistance leaders and activists. “During all these months, the NIA has been acting like notorious character Gabber Singh and this agency has so far not only arrested many resistance leaders and businessmen but also ruined business and careers of many people,” he deplored. Yasin Malik said that the joint resistance leadership decided to resist malicious motives and announced to go to Delhi on September 9 and voluntarily court arrest before the agency so that the falseness and hollowness of Indian propaganda against resistance movement is exposed. The JKLF Chairman said that from the last one and half years, thousands of young and old, men and women had been put behind the bars and thousands had been maimed and blinded. “More than 200 Kashmiris have been massacred and all this state terrorism is going on but has failed to force the Kashmiris into submission,” he added. He said, “Even today, NIA raids are going on. Sons, relatives and businessmen are being summoned and arrested. This is intimidation, but we will not succumb.” KASHMIR VOICE
