Arab League Concerned About HR Violations in IOK

Islamabad, September 19 (Kashmir Voice): Pakistani Foreign Minister, Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit have expressed grave concern on the situation in Palestine and Jammu and Kashmir, especially the ongoing atrocities and attacks on civilians in the two territories by the occupation forces.
According to media sources, the two leaders held a meeting on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York. Khawaja Asif congratulated the Secretary-General on his dynamic leadership of the organization while lauding the role of Arab League in establishing stability within the Muslim World. On the occasion, Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace especially among the Muslim states. Acknowledging Pakistan’s fraternal relations with Arab League members, the Secretary-General opined that Pakistan can play role in addressing the challenges confronted by the Muslim world.
