Sopore Shuts on Second Day against Killing of Qayoom Najar

Srinagar September 28, (Kashmir Voice): In occupied Kashmir, shutdown was observed on second consecutive day, today, in Sopore area of Baramulla district to mourn the killing of Kashmiri youth, Qayoom Najar by Indian troops in Uri on Tuesday.
According to media sources, all shops and other business establishments remained closed while traffic was thin on roads. Najar was killed by Indian troops in Uri area of the district on Tuesday. Authorities closed all schools and colleges in Sopore to prevent protests against Najar’s killing. Meanwhile, shutdown was also observed in Tral town of Pulwama district over the killing of a civilian in a grenade blast. Mushtaq Ahmed Sheikh of Tral-I-Payeen was grievously injured in a grenade in attack on the cavalcade of puppet Works Minister Naeem Akhtar on September 21. He was shifted to a Srinagar hospital for treatment, but breathed his last, yesterday. KASHMIR VOICE
