JRL Vows to Follow Self-Determination Mission with Zeal

Srinagar, October 10 (Kashmir Voice): In occupied Kashmir, the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) has expressed its gratitude to the people of Kashmir for observing shutdown against the incessant braid-chopping incidents, saying this has served a clear message to miscreants that they cannot break Kashmiris’ resolve for freedom.
According to media sources, the JRL comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement in Srinagar said, “You (Indian rulers) can’t try our patience as history stands witness that we inherit the bravery from our ancestors and one of brave heart and great warrior Mohammad Bin Qassim, while responding to a call of a suppressed sister, came to her rescue.”
The resistance leaders said that the braid-chopping was a serious and sensitive issue and they would never tolerate this humiliation. “Those responsible for these inhuman and silly acts will have to stand answerable for their devilish actions,” they said. “The honour and dignity of our mothers, sisters and daughters is at stake and it is unbearable for us,” they added. The resistance leaders said that the Kashmiris were facing military might of India and its deceitful policies. They reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to follow their mission with zeal and dedication. They asked people to focus on the right to self-determination movement and reject and resent all follies propounded by Indian occupational forces. Meanwhile, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, in a statement said that the puppet regime was hiding its failure to curb braid-cutting by resorting to use of brute force on peaceful protesters. “While entire Kashmir is up in arms against the shameful assault on the dignity of its women, the regime instead of resolving this issue keeps resorting to its standard dictatorial moves of curbing resistance leaders and detaining them and imposing curfews and restrictions,” the Mirwaiz added.
