IOK HCBA Condemns Beating of Rohingya Muslims in Jammu

Srinagar, December 05 (Kashmir Voice): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court Bar Association (HCBA) has condemned the beating and detaining of Rohingya Muslims by extremist Hindus backed by Indian police in Jammu on the allegation of throwing a cow carcass near a police station.
According to media sources, the HCBA at a meeting in Srinagar denounced the harassment of innocent Rohingya Muslims and asked for stern punishment to those involved in beating. The victim Rohingya Muslims strongly denied the allegation and stated that they were innocent. Meanwhile, the HCBA has announced to hold a conference in Srinagar on Saturday to mark the “Universal Human Rights Day.” The HCBA in a statement issued in Srinagar said the event will discuss plight of Kashmiri political prisoners lodged in different jails of the territory and India and the failure of the international human rights organizations and groups, in addressing their problems.
