Unknonwn Gunmen Kill Son of Hurriyet Leader in IOK

Srinagar, January 04 (Kashmir Voice): In occupied Kashmir, unknown gunmen have killed a son of Hurriyet leader, Muhammad Maqbool Sofi, in Sopore.
According to media sources, unidentified gunmen shot dead 25-year-old Arif Ahmed Sofi at Herwan Unisoo in outskirts of Sopore on Wednesday evening. Hurriyat leader, Bashir Ahmed Tota, in a statement issued in Srinagar strongly condemned the killing of Arif Ahmed Sofi. He said that Arif was working in a pharmaceutical company and was helping his family to sustain but time and again he was harassed by the troops of an Indian Army camp in the area due to his father’s affiliation with the ongoing freedom movement. He demanded an impartial probe into the killing to bring the killers to book. On the other hand, Indian troops arrested Myser Majid Butt, Muzaffar Ahmed Hurra, Bashir Ahmed Butt, Sajjad Ahmed Baba, Gowhar Ahmed Gilani, Abid Bilal Qadri, Mushtaq Shah and Kanwol Jeet Singh from Pattan and Baramulla areas.
