Islamabad Villagers Protest against Setting up Army Camp

Srinagar, January 18 (Kashmir Voice): In occupied Kashmir, residents of Shamsipora village of district Islamabad held a protest demonstration outside Deputy Commissioner’s office Islamabad, today, against the setting up of a camp by Indian Army in a playground.
According to media sources, scores of the protestors assembled outside the DC office and shouted anti-India slogans. Locals told media that panic gripped the area this morning after Indian Army personnel started measuring a local play ground to set up a camp. They said that the army men refused to listen to the village elders and asked them to go and talk to the Deputy Commissioner. The residents later went to the DC office and staged a protest. “The land belongs to us. How can they take away that land without even letting us know?” said an elderly protester. KASHMIR VOICE
