Clashes between Protesters, Troops Continue In Pulwama

Srinagar, June 05 (Kashmir Voice): In occupied Kashmir, clashes between protesters and Indian troops continued as shutdown entered the third day, today, in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district in demand of a body of a local youth, recently martyred by the troops in Tangdhar area of Kupwara district.
According to media sources, the clashes erupted in Washbugh, Dangerpora and Murran areas of the town. Many people were injured after the troops fired pellets and teargas shells on the protesters. The situation was very tense in the town till reports last came in. Pertinently, people of the town are waiting for the dead body of Sheraz Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Lajoor area of Pulwama, who was killed by the troops during a fake encounter in Tangdhar on May 25 and dubbed as foreign militant. Meanwhile, the Markazi Auqaf Committee Pulwama during a meeting demanded body of martyred Sheraz Ahmed Sheikh so that he could be accorded proper burial. KASHMIR VOICE
