Youth Defied Curfew, Marched To Burhan’s House in Tral

Srinagar, July 08 (Kashmir Voice): In occupied Kashmir, Indian forces, today, resorted to brute force against the youth who defied curfew and other restrictions and came out of their houses to march towards the residence of popular youth leader Burhan Muzaffar Wani in Tral on his second martyrdom anniversary, today.
According to media sources, scores of youth defied curfew in Arigam and marched towards the residence of Burhan Wani in Shariefabad area of Tral town. However, the troops deployed in strength in the area used brute force to prevent the march. Call for the march towards Tral, today, was given by the Joint Resistance Leadership to pay tribute to Wani and his associates, who were martyred by the Indian troops in a fake encounter in Kokernag area of Islamabad district on this day in 2016. Meanwhile, clashes erupted between protesters and the Indian troops in Nowdal area of Tral in Pulwama district, today. Youth tried to march towards the native village of Burhan Wani to pay tribute to him on his second death anniversary. However, police and paramilitary personnel deployed in strength in the area prevented their march, triggering clashes. CRPF troopers fired tear gas on the protesters who pelted them with stones.
