Hurriyat Leaders All Praise for July 1931 Martyrs

Srinagar, July 11 (Kashmir Voice): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders have paid glowing tributes to the Kashmiri martyrs of 13th of July 1931 saying that these martyrs provided the basis for the ongoing resistance movement in the territory.
According to media sources, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) in a statement in Srinagar said, “The struggle to attain right to self-determination will continue until the people of Jammu and Kashmir are granted the right to exercise their political will in an atmosphere without fear.” The party expressed deep concern over the brutal killing of one more unarmed civilian Tamseel Ahmed Khan in Shopian by the Indian troops. Hurriyat leaders, Shabbir Ahmad Dar, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, Ghulam Nabi Waseem, Ghulam Nabi War and Imtiaz Reshi in a joint statement also paid tributes to the martyrs of 13th July 1931. They termed the killing of civilians in Shopian, Pulwama, Kulgam and Baramulla as political revenge by the Indian forces against the Kashmiri people. Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman, Zafar Akbar Butt, while paying glorious tributes to the martyrs of 13th July appealed to the people to organize special prayer sessions for all the Kashmiri martyrs on Friday (13th July).
