Rally in Muzaffarabad Denounces Arrest of Aasiya Andrabi

Muzaffarabad, July 11 (Kashmir Voice): A protest rally was taken out in Muzaffarabad, today, against the arrest of Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi along with her associates Nahida Nasreen and Fehmeeda Sofi and their shifting to New Delhi from occupied Kashmir by India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA).
According to media sources, the rally was organized at Basnara in Muzaffarabad under the auspices of the Srinagar-based International Forum for Justice and Human Rights, headed by Muhammad Ahsan Untoo. A large number of women and children participated in the protest. The participants of the rally raised anti-India slogans. They were carrying banners with slogans demanding the release of Aasiya Andrabi and her associates. The participants led by IFJHR Vice Chairman Mushtaq-ul-Islam marched on the streets. Addressing on the occasion, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Uzair Ghazali of Pasban-e-Hurriyat, Imtiaz Ahmed Lone, Nargas Rasheed, Nasima Ghulam Rasool, Sidra Yousuf, Gul Zaman Tantray and Gulzar Malik condemned the Indian authorities for using their agencies like NIA even against women Kashmiri leaders to suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle.
