Rich Tributes Paid To Youth Martyred in Shopian, Baramulla

Srinagar, July 11 (Kashmir Voice): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have condemned the killing of five youth including two teenage boys in the firing of Indian troops in Shopian and Baramulla districts.
According to media sources, teenage boy Tamsheel Ahmed Khan of Vehil, Shopian, had sustained injuries in troops’ firing on protesters in Shopian on Tuesday morning succumbed to his injuries at a Srinagar hospital. A class 11th student Ubaid Manzoor Lone had also succumbed to his fatal wounds, yesterday. He was injured in the firing by the Indian forces on protesters in Nadihal Sopore area of Baramulla district on June 25. Besides, the troops killed three more youth during a cordon and search operation in Kundalan area of Shopian district. The Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, while telephonically addressing from Srinagar the participants of funeral of martyred Ubaid Manzoor Lone at Nadihal said, “Indian forces have waged a war against people of Kashmir. People of Shopian, Pulwama and Kulgam are bearing the brunt of the forces’ atrocities.” Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, who was placed under house arrest further said, “The dissent is being quelled by pellets and bullets. Our younger generation is undeterred and is sacrificing their lives for right to self-determination.” he illegally detained Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, in a statement strongly condemned the civilian killings by the Indian forces. “Unrelenting massacre of Kashmiri innocents and criminal silence of humankind on it is disgraceful and disgusting.” The Mirwaiz-led Hurriyat forum said, the entire Kashmir has been converted into a military garrison where killing has become a routine matter. It said that under a well-planned conspiracy, lacs of troops in absence of any accountability had launched a full-fledged war against people of Kashmir. The Chairman of Jammu and Muslim Conference, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, along with party leader, Merajuddin Soleh, and human rights defender, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, visited Redwani, Kulgam, on Tuesday to express solidarity with the families of martyrs. A delegation of Tehreek-e-Mazahmat led by Bilal Ahmed Sidiqui visited the bereaved families of martyrs Shakir Ahmed, Raies Ahmed and Andleeb in Kulgam. Hurriyat leaders, Javaid Ahmed Mir, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Zafar Akbar Butt, Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo and advocate Ayub Rathor in their statements termed these killings as the worst examples of state terrorism. High Court Bar Association of occupied Kashmir while condemning the killings said, “The killing of 18-year-old Tamseel Ahmed Khan is deplorable. He was directly shot at his head by the troops. Among the 100 injured persons, 17 received pellets in their eyes and 7 received bullet injuries.” KASHMIR VOICE
