Funeral Prayers in Absentia Held for Shopian Martyrs

Srinagar, August 05 (Kashmir Voice): In occupied Kashmir, funeral prayers in absentia were held on Sunday for six youth martyred by Indian troops in Shopian district, yesterday.
According to media sources, scores of people assembled at Maisuma locality of Srinagar after Zuhr prayers and offered the funeral prayers for the martyred youth. The Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik had asked the people to offer prayers for the martyrs. Five youth were killed in an overnight operation by the Indian forces in Kiloora village of Shopian while one youth was killed in army firing on protesters in Ganowpora village. KASHMIR VOICE
