Srinagar, July 29 (Kashmir Voice): In occupied Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami, a constituent of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, has strongly condemned the ongoing repression and colonial measures by the Indian government in the territory.
According to media sources, a spokesman for Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed grave concern over media reports that the Modi government had decided to confiscate the land and properties of pro-freedom leaders and workers in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and 44 officers have been appointed to carry out task.
The spokesman said that Kashmiris were demanding freedom from illegal occupation of India and their struggle was in accordance with the UN charter but instead of accepting this demand, India was inflicting the worst atrocities on them. He said that the ongoing Hindutva ideology in occupied Kashmir was an eye-opener for the international community.
The spokesman said that India had seized more than 9,000 valuable lands in the occupied territory in the name of setting up new industries and added that through these Israeli-type measures, India also wants to render Kashmiri Muslims homeless in their own homeland. He urged the United Nations and the international community to renounce their criminal silence and take immediate notice of the ongoing Indian aggression in occupied Kashmir. KASHMIR VOICE
