Jammu, September 22 (Kashmir Voice): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir,
APHC leader and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement, Mir Shahid Saleem has strongly condemned the harassment of commuters on the historic Mughal Road that links Poonch and Rajouri districts to the Kashmir valley.
According to Media sources, addressing a protest demonstration for the opening of the road in Jammu, he criticized Indian authorities for hatching a deep conspiracy to keep the Mughal road closed just to restrict the movement of the people from the Pirpanchal and South Kashmir
Mir Shahid Saleem said that New Delhi did not want people of the two regions to meet, have cultural ties and engage in economic activities through the 84-kilometer Mughal Road. He said ever since its inauguration in 2009, the Mughal road was never allowed to function normally.
The APHC leader said the frequent closure of the road without any justification was nothing but a collective punishment to the people of these regions. He said closure of the road was causing a huge economic loss to the people as well. He said there will be a large scale mass agitation if the road was not opened as early as possible. KASHMIR VOICE
